Our Schools

The Outreach Network has many schools located across the city of Montreal. Our schools have academic and social programs for students with very specific needs, for more information please contact the school directly.

Elizabeth High School

Elizabeth High School operates a program for up to 18 pregnant teens and adolescent parents, in collaboration with Elizabeth House.

Focus High School provides a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for secondary students who have not experienced success in a traditional school.

Programme Mile End offers a fresh start for students, and a chance for them to discover who they are, where they want to go, and the belief that they can get there.

Options offers individual attention and support for secondary 4 and 5 students who have had difficulty succeding in a regular school setting.

    As you can see, he is all geared up with protective gear to take on the Indoor Gardening Project with their Explorations/Horticulture Teacher!

    Explorations is a crucial part of Options High School's learning curriculum, as it allows students to "explore" different interests such as art, cooking, robotics, fitness, bike repairs, music... The list goes on and on!

    Nonetheless, congratulations to Jordan and his classmates for building such a beautiful structure for their indoor garden space. πŸ‘

    Throwback to Thursday, October 24th when 7 Mountainview students and 3 staff attended a short talk and question period with Lamar Odom. He talked about his challenges with addiction as well as his road to recovery.     In collaboration with PME & the Outreach Network, PII received a grant from Schools Host an Artist that has allowed them the opportunity to work with Jason Blackbird Selman, Deanna Smith, and Rob Lutes (who just won Contemporary Singer of the Year by the Canadian Folk Awards.) 🎀

    The goal of the project? To allow students to positively represent themselves through art (in this case music).

    Garlic Anyone? 🌱

    Mountainview students have been hard at work, developing their green thumb as part of their schoolwide entrepreneurship project. Their goal? To grow and sell garlic, and garlic flower-a part of the plant that is typically thrown away.

    This project, overseen by teachers Brian Ulric, George Purich, and Sean MacIsaac, has allowed students to learn

    β€’The growth cycle, from tilling the soil to harvesting

    β€’How to market their fresh garlic

    β€’The basics of self-sufficiency and sustainability

    And most importantly, how to work as a team toward a common goal.

    Since the students worked on this project together, there was definite potential for innovation, which in turn enhanced the student’s personal growth and happiness. Furthermore, the fact that this was a student-led initiative, the productivity, and expanded creativity were tenfold and allowed the students to take risks that they normally would not have done

    Secondary 4 students at Outreach High School took part in a major art project this school year, organized by Behavioural Technician Sirma Saltic. 🎨

    This project was created to
    promote self-awareness and to determine strengths and
    weaknesses within respective students.

    Students were asked to outline their bodies on a life size paper, and to write descriptions of how they see themselves, allowing them to find their
    strengths and weaknesses.

    Sirma explained that verbalizing
    strengths and weaknesses is the first step to growth and self development, which can help students immensely as they grow into young adults.

    The feedback from Outreach students was that they were
    proud to be part of a project that helped them see themselves
    for who they are, in a fun and intriguing way! ✨

    The Outreach Network has taken on a 100,000 push-up challenge to support 7-year-old Ellie White and her family, as they recover from a $1,000,000 medical bill. Ellie, a cancer fighter, recently underwent a costly experimental treatment in Columbus, Ohio, leaving the Outreach students and staff motivated to alleviate some of the added stress faced by Ellie and her family! πŸ’ͺ🏨
